Everyone else is doing it......

Ok, so I've been a blog-stalker for a couple months now, so I thought it was time to give it a try myself. Since this is going to be mostly about Reese, I will start out with a little background on her. Dan and I tried to get pregnant for about 2 years on our own with no luck. We then ended up going to a fertility specialist and tried clomid for a few months. It made me a mean mean person AND it didn't get me pregnant. SO, we decided to take a break from that and just cool it for a while. Then, it happened. Reese came into our lives on Feb 4, 2006. At first we didn't know what we had done to ourselves. We look back on pictures of ourselves right after she was born and we were hideous looking! So many of you make it look SO easy, but it was anything but easy for us. I wasn't sure if we were ever going to be able to sleep well again. She had horrible colic the first 3 months of her life and she would scream off and on all day, although it was worse in the evenings. I was so clueless! I remember going to her first doc's appt, which was about a mile from our house, and asking my mom if I even needed to take a diaper bag since it was so close to home and we would be going right back home afterwards??? What was I thinking? Of course my mom laughed at me and said yes! I bet Reese pooped 5 times while we were at the doctor.

Reese has been a very fast learner. She knew about 11 colors when she was 18 months old. She has always LOVED books. She is extremely active. I haven't been this skinny since I was in college and I can thank Reese for that. It's all I can do at times to keep up with her. That's one reason I admire all of you that have more than one child so much....I wonder at times if I could do it. I'll end this post with a few (too many) pics of Reese growing up to be the beautiful girl she is! She is so expressive, I had to put a lot of pics on here to show all her silly faces. One of my favorites is the last one. She went and found a pair of my underwear and she has her arms looped through them. Then she found some of Dan's socks and put those on. She is always cracking me up!
